LINKD 5v5 Nutmeg Series

What is the 5v5 Nutmeg Series?

The LINKD 5v5 Nutmeg Series is an individual soccer tournament that puts players on random teams throughout the tournament, allowing the player to just play without interference from coaches. Players just compete with each other throughout the day.

Each age group champion will receive $50 gift cards!

Players Sign Up Individually

Teammates rotate every game. Players earn points in each match. The top 10 players advance to a championship, where one player is crowned the Nutmeg Series Champion!

4 Guaranteed 22 Minute Games

Street Soccer Format:

  1. No Half Times
  2. No Breaks
  3. No Coaches
  4. No Referees
  5. Just Players Competing

Becoming THe Nutmeg Series Champion

Points are earned by team results, plus team goals scored each game.

  1. Win – 3 Points
  2. Draw – 1 Point
  3. Loss – 0 Points
 
Examples:
  1. Score is 3-2. Players on the winning team get 6 points each. Players on the losing team get 2 points each.
  2. Score is 2-2. Players on both teams get 3 points each.

Nutmeg Consequence

If you’re on the receiving end of a nutmeg, your team plays without you for 1 minute!

Divisions

Players will be placed into divisions strictly according to the new US Youth Soccer age guidelines, and separated by gender, with no exceptions.

  • U9 (Born between 08/01/2017 and 07/31/2018)
  • U10 (Born between 08/01/2016 and 07/31/2017)
  • U11 (Born between 08/01/2015 and 07/31/2016)
  • U12 (Born between 08/01/2014 and 07/31/2015)
  • U13 (Born between 08/01/2013 and 07/31/2014)
  • U14 (Born between 08/01/2012 and 07/31/2013)
  • U15 (Born between 08/01/2011 and 07/31/2012)
  • U16 (Born between 08/01/2010 and 07/31/2011)

Schedule

Games will take place on specific days, based on gender and age division, in 3 hour blocks.

Monday December 29th, 2026

  • U9, U10, U11 @ 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
  • U12, U13, U14 @ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Wednesday December 31st, 2026

  • U15, U16, U17 @ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

 

Girls:

Tuesday December 30th, 2026

  • U9, U10, U11 @ 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
  • U12, U13, U14 @ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Wednesday December 31st, 2026

  • U15, U16, U17 @ 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Spectators / Live Stream

This is a drop-off activity. Tournament organizers and LINKD staff will manage the players and the games. Parents will be asked to leave as there is very limited space for observation. Anyone wanting to watch will be able to watch the livestreams online.
